Allen Meadows - Score: 90-92 (2009 April)

A beguiling mèlange of cool and reserved aromas that offers up notes of red berries, plum, spice and distinct floral notes trimmed in the barest hint of toast that will undoubtedly be integrated quickly. The rich, full and quite serious middle weight flavors are elegant, detailed and intensely mineral-driven and culminate in a driving, deep and lingering finish where it's clear that the structural elements have solid phenolic ripeness. Lovely.
